Creating a welcoming work environment

Monday, February 27th @ 6-8pm

There are many people responsible for creating a positive and productive work environment on a production, but as the people present every day and in almost every conversation, a good portion of this often falls to the stage management team.  What are the ways in which we can create a positive working environment for everyone?  Beyond making it a welcoming space, what are the things we do that help create an environment where people can show up, focus, and have what they need to do their work?  Join us for a panel discussion with two of our local SMs who are doing this work.

Guest PANELISTS:

Stina Lotti

Stina is currently the Production Stage Manager at Seattle Rep, and recently was the SM for I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter.  She has been the PSM for every Public Works production at Seattle Rep, and has learned to create an integrated working environment that welcomes both full-time professionals and first-time community members.

Liz Stasio

Liz (she/her) has been active in the Seattle-area theatre community for over a decade, mostly as a stage manager. She's worked on everything from fringe festivals to big mainstage musicals, including lots of new work. Her signature style is deadpan remarks and glittery shoes. Current project: Carmela Full of Wishes at SCT.
